Science Friday is the public-radio show, long associated with Ira Flatow and carried on by the Science Friday team, about the week’s research and the people doing it.
A physicist, a field biologist, a clinician. The episodes can be a single long conversation or a magazine of segments. The tone is curious and adult. It does not pretend every paper changes your life.
The series is a living archive of how scientific work was explained to a general audience across decades. When it is at its best, you hear the researcher’s actual question, not a headline glued on top.
Weekday editions move quickly. The longer interviews are the ones to save. Either way, the show assumes you can enjoy a method even when the result is not a gadget.
