The Heart, led by Kaitlin Prest, is an intimate documentary series about desire, power, and the stories people tell themselves in bed and afterward.
Episodes are scored and performed more like short films than chats. Producers put their own lives in the tape, then interrogate the edit.
It pushed audio toward explicit, first-person documentary at a time when most relationship shows were advice. The craft is the point: breath, room tone, and a narrator who does not pretend to be neutral.
Some episodes are sexually frank and emotionally abrupt.
