Scene on Radio, from John Biewen and the Kenan Institute for Ethics, builds seasons that are actually arguments: Seeing White, Men, The Land That Never Has Been Yet.
Each season is a course told in scenes. Historians and people living the consequence share the episodes, and Biewen keeps himself in the frame as a student with a microphone.
The show is slower than a news podcast and more pointed than a general-interest magazine. Listeners came for one season and found a method: history told so the present cannot pretend it started yesterday.
A later episode will cite an earlier interview the way a chapter cites a scene.
