The Nod

The Nod, hosted by Brittany Luse and Eric Eddings, is a culture show made from inside Black conversation rather than from a panel explaining it to someone else.

Episodes can be an interview, a reported story, or the two hosts thinking out loud about a show, a scandal, or a habit. The title refers to recognition, and the edit assumes the listener can catch a reference.

Gimlet gave them a narrative freedom that a lot of culture chat does not have. When they report, they report. When they riff, the riff has a point of view you could disagree with.

It is not a single serial. Pick an episode whose guest or subject you already have an opinion about, and let them complicate it.
