Callers talk about grief, illness, stuck marriages, and the odd mercy of a boring day. McInerny has been through enough loss to skip the soft landing, and she is funny in the same breath.
The rename did not turn it into a wellness brand. It is still a phone show: one person, a specific trouble, and a host who will not translate it into a slogan.
